TEACHING
We have been teaching people to sew and make for over 5 years, passing on our knowledge and passion. A mother and daughter team; Lesley teaches our sewing classes and is a master pattern cutter and seamstress, with over 30 years of industry experience, Laurel is a Screen Print and Textiles Lecturer. We pride ourselves on passing on practical skills and tips of the trade in an easy going and welcoming environment.
MAKING
We are constantly making and practising what we preach/teach and always have projects on the go. We knit, sew, print and design throughout the year, selling our work online as well as in local shops and markets. We believe in using natural and ethical materials in our work, using British wool in our knitting and organic and handprinted fabrics in our garments.
ETSY
We offer a range of fabrics on our etsy store. For those who sew, we have wonderful hand-picked, ethical fabrics from India. Coming soon, we also provide our unique home-made patterns for dresses and kimonos, prioritising simplicity, accessibility and a 'classic' style. For those who would like to try something new, we have kits for indigo dyeing, lampshade making and cyanotypes- great results are very much achievable for all levels in all our kits.
